Shock absorbers, magnetic ride

After almost 4 years and 120.000Km, my shock absorbers were not working properly. When the car was going over bumps, the shock and vibrations were coming straight into the cabin.
It was not an easy job to locate the appropriate shocks. The dealer had them for 1100€ (final price), but was not that many options at the open market. Most suppliers don’t provide shocks for Freelander2. After a lot of search I found the appropriate shocks from Delphi, and I had them replaced at a tire store for 650€.

When I was doing my search at the microcat I came across magnetic shocks (magna ride) available for the Freelander. I guess that the Freelander will get the same magna ride suspension like the evoque.
Does anyone ever have this kind of suspension and how does it feel.

I've driven an Evoque with MagneRide and have to say I was impressed by the ride.

MagneRide dampers will require a control system, they won't be retrofittable.

Problem is that FL3 was used in the USA for the Discovery 3 while the FL4 is the USA name for a Discovery 4.
(FL2 is the USA name for Freelander 2).

So FL3 might not be the most appropriate name for the next Freelander.
