Sidelight lamp removal

OK I read the manual, took off the soft rubber cap but for the life of me I cannot get my big mitts down to the hole and get my fingers in there to get a purchase on the lamp holder.

Am I being thick and totally missing something or do I need a small child with double-jointed fingers? Andy

Go back a page or two and remove the complete light unit, it's only two screws.
