Why Vredestein Wintracs and not Snowtrac?

There is huge praise on here for the Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme.

Why did you wintrac owners go for them instead of the Snowtrac 3?

Anyone know the difference with the Snowtrac 3? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

Hi I have read your post about free tires you may be getting this year (Great but you do know your be on the on call Taxi 24hrs for the next 4/5 months !!)

I fitted Vredestein Wintracs last year and there are very good, The Michelin hp latt which the car came with were very good too !

I have PIRELLIS SCORPIONS for the summer and I was not happy with them last year in the snow - I never got stuck with them, but there never felt good in the snow, The different's is day and night when I fitted the Vredestein Wintracs.

The Michelin XI2 you talked about are very good, but the Rubber compound stays soft to Minus 40 c (The UK weather will wear them out very fast) There made to run on snow most of the time (Northern Canada/ Finland etc)
all the best Thumbs Up

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Izmir Blue

I have a D3 as well as the FL2 and the Wintracs have had lots of good comments over on the disco3 forum

They were also available at a very good price at the time I wanted them last year.

From memory I tried:
AJS (sponsor)
Tyremen (Hull)
Camskill
Event tyres
