How high does it need to go?

Am looking for Axle Stands and a 'proper' Jack - for the FL2.

My question:

What is the minimum height it needs to be lifted to?

Lots of adverts mention min and max heights etc but I don't know what the height needs to be.

Any help out there??? Question Thanks ......... Thumbs Up 2002 Honda VFR800

It depends how tall you are Rolling with laughter

I presume you mean the minimum height for the jack before it starts to lift? Minimum would be from the floor to the jacking point.
I would imagine any decent trolley jack would be suitable, decent being the operative word and good for the weight.

My 2 ton trolly jack won't lift high enough and that's 350mm. That seems to be pretty well standard for that class of trolly jack. You need about 500mm to be certain. Screwfix do a 2.5 ton trolly jack with with 500mm for £75.

Simon just been through the research myself, my current goes to about 380-400mm and yes lifts the vehicle but once you've got rid of the suspension travel the wheel is only just and I mean only just clear of the ground.

I'm going to go for one of these, look like reputable sellers too....

If you search by the same title they are on a bid sale too but go for maybe £3 - £5 cheaper Thumbs Up
