I had an annoying little (tiny) dent in my rear passenger door. Very close to the edge and right on the wheel arch.

I say tiny but I'm a bit OCD so to me it looked like a crater.

Couple of places didn't want to touch it a) because they might make it worse b) it would be very difficult to get behind it to lever it out.

I did a bit of research and found a company called Dent Devils. Their web site actually shows some dents in awkward places.

They come to your house so I got them to come and take a look. They, too, agreed that they would have difficulty getting behind it but.........

They use something called "hot glue" to help them pull it out from the front?

I was a bit sceptical but i didn't want to live with the dent so I gave it a try.

They pull it (somehow) with the glue pad & then "tap' it with a hammer and what looks like a small cold chisel.

I have to say - I found it hard to watch someone taking a hammer+ to my car but... pull/tap/pull/tap and gradually it comes out.

I really can't see where it was. Took about two hours?

They have an amazing range of accessories to help them. Rubber suction clamps hold bright lights in place to focus on the dent. Another clamp holds a brolley over the work (it drizzled for a few minutes).

In all, a great job, well done.

That's excellent my wife gave them a call about her Nissan earlier in the year left a message and they never rang back.

I have a small dent on the lip of the front wheel-arch and the shop I took it to wanted £85 but couldn't guarantee it would come out, so I have left it alone for now.

I paid £120 + VAT

This was a bit more than I was expecting. Dent Magician quote something like £80 per panel but....

the result was worth it.

I think Taz had a similar type of process to remove a dent on his FL2 Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I was really impressed with the method.

I've had dents done before but only by pressing it out from behind with a series of rods & poles etc., gently levering it back in to place.

Pulling at it from the front seemed like it would damage the paint but..... no.

Got no idea where the dent came from. It was not in the position where a car door or shopping trolley could have done it.

Suspect someone walked past and clipped it with something.

Ah well. Fixed now. Until the next time.

I used them about 5 years ago on a dent in my Volvo C70 that was on the front passenger door right on a crease and not accessible from behind.

He used the hot glue and clamp method and slowly pulled the dent out..

It did take him a while and the finished repair satisfied me and nothing was picked up when it eventually went off lease.

I paid £75 back them so I suppose it will have increased a bit since then.


I would definitely use them again.
