Alarm activating for no apparent reason

Just today, the alarm has activated a few times for no apparent reason. Have any of you guys had this problem before?

I double checked all windows, boot and bonnet but all closed properly.

Not parked on the road and it doesn't go off when I unlock the tailgate. Can't rule out insects I suppose. Must be a fairly sensitive system to pick the little Censored up.

I have known a moth or bee set off alarms, another possibility is a window slightly open so a gust of wind to change the air pressure Question

Windows are fully closed. I checked and nothing in there of bee size. Can't rule out spiders or smaller insects I guess. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Before you rush off to the dealer you could try a hard reset, it has worked for me when I have had the alarm sounding when popping the tailgate Question

Can you not just disconnect the alarm it's were the battery is, just to the left under cover Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Disconnecting the alarm would probably void the insurance

Sounds like the battery backup sounder. I had similar symptoms and that was the diagnosis. It is a known issue, mine was replaced under warranty. I think there has been various posts re this. MY13 FL2 SD4 HSE Ipanema Sand, 19" LR sparkle alloys , spoiler, rear camera , LR det. Towbar

also had this problem repaired under warranty last year it is a different sound from the main alarm though
