United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Sumatra Black
SRS

Sometimes and totally at random - the Airbag warning light in the left hand dial does not light up during the start up/lamp test but the trip meter in the right hand dial changes from miles to "SrS" then goes out as normal after the test mode is complete, as said its totally random and may be days or weeks before it happens agian.
Question is do I have a problem pending or just another softwear glitch?

Nothing wrong it's checking the Safety Restraint Systems (SRS) if the lights stays on that's when you have a problem

So its normal for "SrS" to be displayed when the airbag light does NOT luminate, never get both together and happens at random.
Must be a FL2 thing!

My airbag light stayed on once, it turned out to be the seatbelt pretensioner. Land rover took for ever to find out what it was, also tried to charge me for diagnostics! Then tried to say seat belts are not covered by the extended warranty, tried charging me £320 for the pleasure! Managed to sort it and paid nothing after a stingily worded letter!

When mine stayed on, it was a cut wire under the seat that got caught by the seat runner. Evidently there was a Topix bulletin on it, they had to reroute the wire, so replaced under warranty.

Mines not staying on just can't makeup its mind whether to use the airbag light or say SrS.
