Any tips on how this can be done DIY? I am aware that this might be very simple, but I had a look at them today and, apart from an obvious part that I could push in (but did not seem to release the blade or anything) I could not work out how to remove the wiper blade... Any pointers? Thanks in advance!

Put the wipers into the easy access mode (Hold the wiper lever down inside the car so they are sweeping and at the same time turn the engine off - RTFM ). To change the blade assy, squeeze together the two ribbed sections which connect the blade to the arm, then lever the squeezed bit towards the windscreen and you will see that it pivots at the top of the connector. Sounds tricky but takes 5 seconds to release

Instead of buying the whole wiper, there are rubber blades only for changing.
I believe that he'd asked about the rubber only blade's changing...
If yes, that's easy too.
After removing the wiper, remove the two small caps at both ends of the wiper. It's a little tricky, but, with a help of a flat screwdriver, you'll manage.
That will allow you to take apart the two elastic metal bands that flank the rubber blade.
Then slightly slide the rubber off.
Install is the reverse procedure.

Dont forget fitting new wipers does not make your whole car new and does not allow you to re-brand it as a new SD4  At work

Is that not a bit like fitting a different set of wheels trying to make it look like an HSE but then dropping a giant ricket and buying the wrong ones

rain ex starts to smear when used on a windscreen, when the wipers (which you'll still need to use) starts wearing the film away, in low light and night with car headlights coming towards you a smeared screen is hazardous in the rain IMO

I use carlack glass twins and even though the side windows are still going strong months down the line the windscreen i tried it on didn't last long enough and smeared Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Understatement , and yes fine on the other non LR car
