BBQ are great for getting your hands covered in soot, clothes stinking, wasting 30mins whilst the coals go white

were as CADAC gas is quick, cleaner and just what you need

Exactly Nick, Trying to convert him but it is a long hard slog.

Cooker/oven in the van = Gas, therefore no difference - so why not just drag your cooker outside

Good idea, but restrict it to "Show Your Tow" behind a Freely only, we don't want argiculture littering the thread

How long before we get to see photos of Mr Mac’s moded BBQ, will be the original body work as the inset photo but he will have added a big gas burner, may even have a chrome handle on the top to keep the modern look

I spent Easter weekend on the CC site at Moreton in Marsh, very nice. Plenty other other FL2's about!

On the great gas v coals debate, I do tend to use the Cadac, but occasionally buy a diposable BBQ! However, I find it doesn't really matter as long as I have got a cold beer in hand!

Quality british meat (see your local butcher) + charcoal + match

gas BBQ's are the most stupid lazy pathetic way of ruining good food, I say good food but if your the sort of guy who buys are gas bbq then you probably shop at iceland or farmfoods so who cares At work

Nothing like the smell of gas in the morning

bacon and eggs frying on the cadac, them smell wafting through the other vanners open awnings and windows and the sound of people asking the mrs if they have any bacon to cook themselves

Bacon on a BBQ...possible but not done it yet, carefully laid over the grills ( ) but an egg, nope you've got me on that one Unless I steal the baking tray from the van and put that over the coals but then it's just the same as cooking on the perfectly good stove inside the van......which is .......just the same as cooking on a cadac

At least you could bake a few scones on a Cadac, no chance over the grill of a charcoal one
