Why on earth would you want to do that???? You'd be better keeping the money in the bank for the shortly to be seen £2 a litre fuel cost we may all be faced with.

I have to agree with the others. Bad idea to change at the moment and the dealers would rip you off big time. You have the same vehicle spec as me at the mo and it's a great choice too. The idea is pure novelty and once that novelty has worn off, you will be kicking yourself for forking out for the same car but with an auto box that is less economical at times of increasing fuel prices. You still have full warranty and breakdown on your car for another 2 years so don't bother changing.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

The majority above are probably right, but trade in prices have been very strong recently (snow effect, may have worn off now!) so (sorry Grandma) it depends on what they offer and what you can haggle on the newbie.
A 60 reg, low mileage TD4 HSE I unsuccessflly haggled for at a well known West London Dealer c.2 months ago has just been reduced by £2k. If you are looking for a facelift it will obviously be more difficult.... But as others say, why take the depreciation now, trading like for near like??? Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Don't hum and har........ give us the details and we'll let you know!

That said, we tend to stock more XS Auto than GS Auto if you don't want to wait for a foactory order.

Let me know if you want a figure?

I would agree, unless you have money to burn, or have a problem with the car, I don't see the point.

but each to his own and if that's what you want, go for it

The facelift is just not worth it, much prefer the 2010MY anyway.....Showroom tax, VAT@20%, new RFL.

Buy an Evoque, reckon you wouldn't lose too much on one of the first ones..... 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

Auto better car but I dont think I'd be prepared to make such a loss on replacing such a new car...

Better wait till the start of winter, chop it in and buy and mX5 and then kep this until spring when you can chop it in for a new FL2 and get a better deal and expect to get a better price for the MX5 Thumbs Up Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Of course that is the other point I forgot to mention about swapping! You will be taking a step down getting the auto. Why pay more when you already have the better car Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
