I don't confess to being an expert in alternative fuels or anything, but where do these people think electricity comes from? The Power Pixies? |

And what's the equivalent of taking some spare fuel in a jerry can with you when you drive into the wilderness in case you run out of fuel? A very, very long extension lead? A solar panel and a good, long book to read whilst you wait?

But that would make fishing a lot more fun, no sitting around for hours ,just drive in and then drive around with your net scooping up the fish. Then off to the pub for a Pimms |

In one of the publicity mags that LR were handing out prior to release of the FL2 there was a claim that a diesel/electric hybrid would be on the drawing board for 2009/10. Hybrids are only every going to be a stop gap, until we have a real alternative to our current hydrocarbon fuels, but a diesel hybrid should be much more efficient than a petrol hybrid. |
