And Vicky Beckham on tap to tell you what a wise choice it is. A big pass, lets keep LR's looking like LR's not some pimp mobile.

I'm inclined to agree that "pimp" is indeed a suitable adjective but I hesitate to give it a full endorsement. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen the Evoque in the flesh, and sat in it. Then I'd need to test drive the "Dynamic" for at least a weekend before I'd confirm it was or was not a Land Rover.
Conceptually, I actually feel the Evoque is closer to the LR DNA than the FFRR, which over the last circa 15yrs has really lost its heritage. More akin to an obese Cadillac than a taut luxury leviathan mountaineer for road and range.

Agreed Boxer - however do you "bling" the individual models or "bling" the brand. The latter I am certain is not the right approach in moving forward.
As for the former, well if the blinged Evoque (the Prestige) increases LR's penetration and grip on the compact "urban" end of that market segment it will have achieved a great tactical success. And if its cousins the "Dynamic and Pure" can possibly deliver a consolidating element of LR "autostrada & rural 4x4" credentials then this model range will have played a major strategic role in LR's survival and sustainability as a profitable niche company despite what traditionalists may wish for. I wish them every success.
Personally I doubt that the Evoque will be a vehicle that graces my garage. Too small maybe to be of any practical purpose over and above what's already in there for the family to use.
