Out of curiosity I rang Landrover Yeovil today to ask about fixed price servicing on my car, next month it will need a 96000 mile/ 72 month service (only on 46k) consisting of-
Oil & filter
Air filter
Fuel filter
Pollen filter
And some checks, screen wash etc.

They quoted £479 But i was informed very politely that did include £29.99 Environmental charge to dispose of my old oil etc, very kind I thought

When asked if I would like to make a booking I declined.

That would be a 'B' service and year 6 will have them suggesting new flexible hose and a brake fluid change on top of the £479. I have just had a two main dealer quotes for a year 7 'A’ Service - £718 with cam belt change or £240 for just the 'A' service.

That works out at at a princely £478 for the cam belt (no water pump) change where I have just booked my car in to a local garage for (Gates) cambelt inc water pump and MOT for c. £290 - (£150 labour, cost of Gates kit c/w water pump plus £40 MoT)

I’ll deal with the 'A' service directly after the belt change and MOT... probably the Maltings as they can update online service history.
