I'm close to pulling the trigger on a new FL2. I know there is always something new around the corner, but a thought did occur to me as to whether there is a Freelander 3 due any time soon?

I am sure they was a post on here about a month ago that said we are looking at 2015. I have been told in the past that LR keep a model for nine years so as the Freelander 2 came out in 2006, 2015 seems feasable.

Lets hope its a little sooner. My 4 year GMFV plan is up in April 2014. Perfect timing if they had it ready for then. Although I might be tempted by RRS.

Or maybe I should buy a Ferrari 458 or an Aston Martin DBS or a Lamborghini Reventon or a Veyron

I was in at the dealers last week and was told the FL3 wasn't due until 2015, but in the meantime it would have another face-lift of some sort. Also the trim levels of various RR's would be brought up to the level of trim in the forthcoming Evoque, which is apparently extremely high.

I was at the Halewood Factory with work a month before Christmas, I asked this very question and the Freelander 2 is due to be replaced in 2013. The Freelander 2 only has a 6 year product cycle.

Work is already under way on it's replacement, I asked if it would be called Freelander 3, and at this stage it just has an internal code number. But although Freelander 3 is a likely name, a completly new name could be given. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

My money is on it NOT being called Freelander anything  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Yes with todays prices theres nothing Free about it is there,  I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.
