Rear side window defrost ?

Hi, just wondered if anyone knows if the rear side windows are on a different fuse circuit ? Its just that they have the heating elements but don't defrost along with the rear screen.

Also how would i know if the auxillary heater is working ? The car does get warmish after about 5 minutes but is this normal or is it getting help from the aux' heater ?

As for the 'aux heater', I believe for the UK market it is a low powered electric heater that sits in the airflow ducting and is completely automatic. It is only powerful enough to take the initial very cold air out of the system until the engine coolant takes over and aids in defrosting etc.
Foreign markets that experience arctic weather have the 'Webasto' diesel heater fitted.

There is a thread here with some info http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic7486.html...ary+heater

United Kingdom

I wonder, apart from Mr Tata counting his coppers, why cars don't get all round window heaters, surely it's just elements been placed in the glass like the front screen

Not that I can ever see the FL2 getting it, it would be something the Big Daddy would get Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
