Size snow chains

Just a question.
Last winter I used wheels with size 235/65R17. This winter I changed to 235/55R19. Very Happy
Correct me if I'm wrong, the width is the same, why is it that I have to use an other size of snow chains? Question Question

According to Land Rover you can only fit snow chains to 17 and 18 inch wheels and then they only ones they recommend are the Spikes Spyder type. Type snow chain into Search and the whole debate will be revealed to you.

you can still use those chains not problem. We have used a mates x5 ones and they are fine. Thats said there really is no point unless ur planning on massive gradients or 3 foot drifts The missus - SD4 HSE - Black - 2012

I now use Snow Belts as you can transfer them to any vehicle.
My son uses Snow socks and swears by them for use on his Merc Van.
My unused old chains are now on E-Bay, got fed up of changing them with each vehicle change. Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.
