What is the best method to clean wipers, someone suggested white vinegar?

I just use the autoglym fast glass, removes road film and does not corrode the rubber etc.

A friend of mine does this and then uses a tiny amount of GT85 to "re-oil the rubber" but I think that is a load of guff Rolling Eyes The missus - SD4 HSE - Black - 2012

I use fast glass, but normally never bother cleaning them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

For years I have used common everyday white vinegar on a kitchen towel. Simply apply the vinegar to the towel and wipe the blades clean - one or two swipes should be adequate. It is also a good idea to put a small amount in the washer bottle Thumbs Up

I can also vouch for the vinegar method Thumbs Up , but after a while the car starts to smell like a chippy Laughing ______________________

hows this work, i presume you mean you the graphite (lead) smooths the rubber or something, but isn't a 2B pencil a very soft lead Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

A lot of wipers come with a graphite coating now anyway which stops the rubber squeaking .

2B because it is soft and so the graphite comes off easily - I guess a HB will do it though Thumbs Up Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints
