I have read in the posts on this forum that many FL2 owners have been invited to a Landrover off-road experience.

How do these come about? Even though I asked my dealer nothing has been forthcoming!

You have to keep asking .... Seems different dealers have different approach to offering this. I think I'm right in saying that it is supposed to be a pre-sales inducement; so once you have bought the car there is little incentive for the dealer to put his hand in his pocket.

I was only offered a the half day LRE following a run in with the dealer principle about crap service from his sales team, but this was several weeks after I bought the car....

My LRE invite came directly from Land Rover following a discussion with our company fleet office; we have several thousand cars in the fleet so manufacturers tend to be more pro-active in responding to the staff in the fleet office.

You might also try a direct approach to Land Rover yourself, via customer services, tell them your dealer isn't coming up with the goods and see if they will help.

Alternatively, just go the the LR web site, click "Request a Test Drive" and use your common sense when filling in the answers . Don't mention that I told you though...

I got offered the half day via e mail after I ordered a brochure, dealer did not offer anything when I ordered / collected car though.

I bought the car six months ago, have been on a half day experience, now LR have sent me another invite. So guess I'll go and play with an auto FL2 this time !

Last time it was manual tranmission but the guys at LRE said they would change to autos as soon as they were available ...

I wasn't offered anything by the dealer

I simply told the dealer that I had to justify the price tag to the misses, and the best way of doing this was getting her driving the car when it is showing off its best abilities, so the dealer gave me a free half day experience day for us both to go on. WHICH has just been upgraded to the whole day, plus evening meals etc due to lack of customer care!!

My dealer has given me an offroad experience each time I bought a car and when I filed in the LR marketing deatils that I was looking to change, got another offer came through so been on three now!!
