I had this - I think it is caused by the ice freezing the window and it tripping. A window reset as described in the above post fixed it |

Sounds to me like a bigger problem as they should open once they defrost

My drivers window is stuck on my 2010 Freelander, all the other windows work OK. I have tried the reset with no joy.

It took me a couple of times to do the reset, make sure you follow the procedure exactly as outlined below;

There is a thermal trip on the motor; therefore the motor and fuses should be okay. There is also a anti-trap feature which means the motor will stop when it comes against unusual resistance, ie little fingers or indeed ice.
