GS Model with Leather, heated seats?

Hi,

I'm posting this on behalf of my mum. She has recently bought a MY08 GS model with leather seats that appear to be off of an HSE.

The seats have electric adjustment, inc lumber, but not memory buttons.

Is it likely that these will have the heated seat elements in them?
If yes then how do I check that they do have them?
Also if they do have them how easy is it to add the buttons? Is it a case of swapping the buttons, or do I also have to tell the car that it has heated seats fitted, i.e. get a fault mate on it or get a LR dealer to activate them?

Thanks

Hi!

I also have a GS with heated leather seats. The heated seats switch is on the actual seat itself (outside front of seat), have a look there...

Can't be activated, A Freel2 member bought A brand new car with heated seats and the factory hadn't fitted the switches and the dealer could not retro fit the switches-something to do with the canbus/body control module.

If it's a can bus module then I would have thought it could be activated Confused

Can you let me know where the switch should be? I thought it was the centre of the rotary climate control dial, like it is on a D3?

Thanks for the quick responses Thumbs Up

if the seats don't have the memory switches, then they will be the SE version by the sounds of it, but even they had the switches built into the dials, I presume if they are then they have element inplace, but how/if they can be connect is a TFC question, i'm sure he was looking at it on his FL2 Commercial

I have never heard of the seat itsself having the heating on/off button, are these aftermarket reupholstered seats with a heating element been added Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If it's Iain at Offroad Essentials, I've been trying to get him for the past month. Evidently he was abroad, but due back the middle of October, dunno what happened.
