Don't buy one that’s been hammered off road or wading as there are many available that have not been subjected to this kind of treatment |

Don't buy one with a towbar, you don't want people to think you own a caravan. |

Got a towbar on mine and I have never towed a caravan and never will. ![]() This crap about towbars and caravans must be a weird UK thing ![]() The worst offenders for traffic holdups here is tractors and other farm machinery ![]() Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Thanks for the comments. So, nothing peculiar to this vehicle to watch out for then? No common engine, transmission or electrical problems?

A) You won't have any difficulty picking up a model with ashtrays, however when you do watch out for "Blinged Freelander" as he has a fearsome reputation for extinguishing smokers. B) Of the two engine types the diesel fired block is very economic when driven correctly, especially the "Stop Start" model. Large smokey black clouds, resembling 1970's Scargillian skies above Yorkshire pit villages, are, like sightings of that "deinosauros" a rarity and just as likely to go on strike. They are usually owned by folks who feed them with Zastava premium diesel fuel extracted from coal slag washed up on the shores of Aralskoye More then refined by passing through Kazakstan yak dung. Ignore these facts on the "smokers" at your own peril. |

Prices vary a lot depending on model (and even from LR dealer to dealer) so look around. Getting a model with a spare wheel is highly recommended. |
