Just thought I would share. Found this on ebay tonight, I think it could be useful in the coming months.

Don't worry, you will get replies to your question about towing out of snow, from those who will and those who won't...

I've been looking for a tow rope. Cant make my mind up between one with hooks or one with shackles? One thing that puts me off the one in the OP is the cheapness, I always think you get what you pay for. Will a tow rope for under a fiver be any good? Plus, from what I read on here the longer the rope the better. At the end of the day, i'm just looking for a rope to help out friends/family if ever needed. Would I help out a complete stranger? Not sure. Purely in case my car got damaged or the 3rd party got injured. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Strap rather than rope is my preference. I have a couple tucked in around the spare whee. Easier to store, and damage is always visible unlike ropes which can get grit in them and fray internally...

Doesn't the law restrict the use of ropes/straps to built up areas and require a rigid bar otherwise? |

Don't think it is In the event of a breakdown, be aware that towing a vehicle on a tow rope is potentially dangerous. You should consider professional recovery. Laws CUR reg 100 & MV(DL)R reg 43 https://www.gov.uk/rules-drivers-motorcycl...loading-98 But saying that, the vehicle you are towing must be road legal, unlike one I saw yesterday being towed, no Headlights, Bonnet, or engine. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |
