Continuing my long investigation on why my parking sensors scream as soon as it gets wet, I have noticed that there are two open holes in the rear wheel arch, just to the right of the mud flap screw - Are they sealed up on your car They're not on mine and through these holes is the rear of the bumper area where all the wires for the parking sensors are - I'm therefore assuming a possible water spray path.
I know the car can wade deeper than where the sensors are positioned so they should....in theory be water proof but it can't do any harm filling these holes with black sealant surely
Strange as it looks as if something should fit there Took the rear light unit out and there's nothing near those holes.
- Has something been removed when the towbar was fitted

Been out with the torch I have the holes also so mines the same.
Never really had a problem with the sensors sometimes the are not to accurate but never screahing
What have I told you don't mention the T you leave yourself wide open to abuse, you know what's coming

Yep, new boots and wheels, coming to a kerb near you soon you can bet on it.
Never had a puncture in the old ones and in three months had two punctures. Glad I have a spare instead of jollop.

It's the fixing place for the receiver(s) of the tire pressure monitoring system.

Likewise, I've got the holes as well, and a larger square one more inboard (under a big screwhead). Can't seethem causing any water retention, they are, after all, only in the inner wheelarch covers. Big hole behind for water to escape.

Off topic, but relevant. I too got a torch and went out to check. This is not the first time I've ben out to my car to try something to answer a question, neither is it the first time that someone else has ben out in the dark to answer someone elses question, including mine. Answers posted within minutes of questions being asked.

as I've just fitted my rear midflaps at the weekend, I didn't need to go out and look, , yes mine has them holes.
