The D3 has got the auto dimming mirror and to be honest it's crap, much prefer the manual one myself. ______________________

I agree with Dave, auto dimming mirrors with out a switch to turn them off can be a pain sometimes.

Well folks I have it working!! and all in (apart from I still need to find the relay box!) Any idea where it is or how to get to it?

That relay you are missing is inside the Central Junction Box. Which is at the feet of the passenger.
Either you will dismantle it and mount the proper relay inside where it supposed to be, or you supply a +12V from the rear reverse lights. Rear reverse lights are on the 76 pins black connector, pins 73 and 62 (green-white) and mirror reverse signal is on the 20 pins black connector, pin 13 (also green-white). Both connectors are on the CJB. But be carefull when shunting voltage from one connector to other... But again, it may be already shunted inside. I will go with the first choice if I were you.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your reply!

This seems alot of work for not alot of gain! I figured it was just pulling down a flap and poping a relay in!
