back to topic it must be noted that the factory privacy is 100% better than film and is not going to get damaged by oversized objects, naughty children or high heels Whistle At work

Do they realy take the door cards off? the last time i had it done on a ford galaxy (no laughing) they offered up on the outside of the glasss and cut to size then removed and fitted to the inside, the job was as perfect as could be expected for after market.

I'll ring Dappa and check if they do this.

Yep for sure they take the door cards off, it's the only way they can get the film below the rubber level on the inside. They do size it from the outside your right but must add more for the bottom. Obviously the rear door quarters and 3 around the boot are just trimmed to size.
The company I used, only uses UV blocking film that is guaranteed from bubbling, crazing or peeling for the life of the car, and as for your comment CG your right the factory has to be the best but our car didn't have it when we bought it second hand and it was needed IMHO. Naughty, children having a pick....well for sure it's not totally unmarkable, but you must have seen the police programme where they stop the FullFatRR bling bling with super dark tints on the front sides, PC 'Yournickedmyson' says I'll let you go if you peel some of it off and then take it all off when you get home - they try to pick at it but can't do it and end up using a pocket knife to get the peeling started.
As for high heels, clearly they should be no where near the glass and should be securely retained to the upper grab handles - tie wraps also assist....apparently...I've heard Very Happy
