11my 'Real Life' Snaps

Thought you may be interested in seeing some real-life pictures of an 11my FL2. This was an SD4 Auto HSE in Stornoway Grey with a Premium Pack and 19" Alloys.

Compared to the 10my it is noticably quicker mid-range and seems quieter. The premium pack makes a huge difference to the interior and gives it a much more 'premium' (what other word could I choose) feel.

Your wish is my command! Please excuse the Evian bottle! I don't think the rear lights are LED.

Is that front grille two tone? The surround looks grey and the slats shiney?

Me too. In fact, I don't like the revision to the front end, full stop. In my opinion, it looks odd, as if Kia have had an input Whistle

Not a fan of the bling on the tailgate handle either.

On a more positive note - I like the idea of the revised engine Thumbs Up Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

I believe that 10my are still being built on the line, and that 11my will switch over soon. The grille is a dark grey around the outside with Zermatt Silver bars for the SD4, however the TD4 has a dark Jupiter finish.

These pictures do not do it justace as it does stand out from the pre-11my in the car park. It will be interesting to see other vehicles in other colours. For me though the biggest change is the engines. The SD4 on paper is currently the quickest diesel Land Rover (faster than the 3.0 TDV6 Sport) at 8.6 secs (quite an improvement over 10my Very Happy ) and cleaner/more fuel efficient.

the newer engine is a winner for me too, but i guess i'll be waiting for my extra horse for a while

I like the new leather too, I like the shape of the rear boot handle too and the front spoilers in front of the wheels have grown on me, i'm even considering looking if they fit on the current model as i think there is holes already in the bumper for fixing

0 to 60 never did bother me....i was never one for having the new model out and had the my11 been out a month ago and with same price I would have gone for one...but my new one is "new" 60 reg, a beautiful car and will do me well for a few years so im happy...... Very Happy

I am not sure what the premium pack consists of....the new one looks nice but for me the best deal was the one I got on the MY10 hse Confused Sept 1 2010 Now the PROUD owner of Galway Green Auto Diesel HSE

Totally agree Nick. I think our engines are lively enough though. Having just paid my road tax, I'm more interested in the reduction in emmissions and improved fuel economy. The extra power is, naturally, a bonus Thumbs Up Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

So the mpg in "real terms" will be about 33 then Laughing (I recon I get 29.5 on average which is 17.6% down on the quoted figure)

10.5 0-60 Auto...How exactly are you supposed to do that! If I floor mine from a standing start I recon it takes 1/2 a second to remember what it is supposed to be doing!! Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...
