I used Shell's new fuel save, full tank. I got 475 miles out of full tank as opposed to usually just over 450 miles from filling up at morrisons. The problem is that Shell is 119.9 at the mo but morrisons is 114.9. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. I know supermarket fuels are usually inferior but tough times on the financial front and my morrisons miles card will keep me there for now pehaps.

Thinking about it, surely the small difference of 114.9 to 119.9 is not going to justify going to morrisons when I can get approx 25 more miles out of a full tank. Also, the Shell garage near me has just dropped their prices to 117.9 so more reason to keep with this new fuel me thinks. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Call me frivolous, but I use Shell Optimax, 125p/ltr, but i get no smoke, noticeable smoothness and power. £3 extra a fill up aint't gonna make much difference in my life....... 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

Fortunately, round here the Shell is just about the cheapest (apart from Asda at 1ppl less), but the pumps seem to be setup for townie/taxi £10 splash-and-dashes and take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to fill up the D3

And I thought my FL2 took forever to fill. I've only had the car for 10 weeks. The 1st time I needed to fill the tank from low, I couldn't take my eyes of the £ dial.

I don't want to get off subject here of course but there is a guy not too far from me Tim who has a 2010MY Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 in stornoway and also a 10 plate Aston Martin V12 Vantage in black. If I have done the maths correctly based on your original figures, with Shell you get 5.55% more miles for a 4.35% extra cost, therefore Shell is cheaper. Now the price has dropped it is cheaper still.
Round here the Shell garage is the cheapest unless Tesco have the 5p litre off voucher when shopping  09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey

Friday afternoon, 118.9 At the petrol station facing The Little Chef on the A64 just north of York.
Derek and I took the van up to whitby for a couple of days earlier this week
A few bumpkins on tractors slowed us down and meant we joined the M62 in rushhour
(I can't be certain but I think one had a chicken on his lap)

What's the average around here.

I filled up today.. It was super empty. I put 67.6litres in it..(68 litretank) and got a pretty impressive 545 miles.

The trip computer thingy said 15 miles left inthe tank.
