Mine is doing this too. MY2010 less than 6 months old. Problem started a few weeks after delivery.

Hear the knock when pulling away, when slowing down (thought is was a weight transfer related issue), also going over bumps. I was guessing it was something to do with the body shell and was dreading the thought of the dealer struggling to find the problem.

I can understand why it seems to come from various locations if it is a knock which propogates through the shell.

Going in for other work soon so will refer my friendly dealer to the LR tech sheet.

Hi, thanks for this valuable information. My vehicle is only a couple of months old but started the noise shortly after collecting it. In my case it seems as though the noise is coming from the passenger door side at the A piller. Is this likely to be caused by the same issue? thanks
