I'm on 25000 miles on 17" Goodyear Wranglers with approx 3mm tread left on them. Happy with that.

I have the ContiCross Contact AT 255/60 R17, roughly two years.
They have been tryed in several terrain / adventures and I am very satisfied.
They are near to change. Before the exchange of front / rear tyres
I checked more deterioration to the front pair of them due to motion. Thumbs Up

35000 on the original Michelin rubber. Need changing soon though as they are staring to perish on the outside edges of the tread. Also available in Clean.

Original 17 inch Continentals replaced all round at 33,000. Very pleased with that considering 15000 of those miles where towing our caravan. Replaced with same tyres.

32,000 miles out of the Mitchell's still approx 2.5 mm left. but have changed them for a set of pirelli Scorpions, to date the seem fine ! but I bet I don't get 32k out of them. But for the price of £150.00 each and they came with 18'' HSE brand new rims who's going to loose sleep Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Wranglers with 22k miles, fronts have 4mm, 4mm, 5mm from outer edge, rears have 5mm, 5mm, 6mm again from outer edge. Possibly for sale soon as I might get around to fitting the legendary 'Premier Inn' new HSE rims + scorpions off Tatbay £500 Buy it now Thumbs Up
Then again, might sell just three as spares and keep one as a full size spare instead of the 17'' steel speed restrictor Wink (Brainwave courtesy of ad210358 Thumbs Up )

you'll find conti's wear on the edge faster, mine looked bald on the edge, just on the near side front, the 2 garages i spoke too said it due to power steering and going round roundabouts fast...

As long as 75% of the flat surface is legal you should be fine.... so the garage said

Sorry im a bit late on this one ! I have conti's on 19" and mine are exactly same wearing on the near side front after 8k miles ! How many miles have you done on your's Npinks ?

i did 15K on my front tyres, before i had to change them both due to a puncture, i recall the garage saying i had about 5mm left, but the difference in tread depth between the one with out the nail and a new one would be quite big, so i paid for one myself and claimed on my insurance for the other unrepairable tyre

it did look bald on the outer edge though, but had good tread on the other 75% so were still legal Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

South Africa 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tonga Green

Hey
I've had Wranglers with 55000km's.
My second set is Yokohama Geolander AT/R, they have 70000km's on and the fronts is near end, while the rear ones is good for another 10000km's.
