Scratch removal... tips?

I've been offroading in too narrow dirt roads making branches scratchinig my paint. Any tips to remove them? No deep scratches, but plenty very light ones.

I have tried Dr. Colorchip, and it worked great on my Stornoway Grey LR2. They are advertised in all the American automotive publications, and I'd highly recommend their product, but don't know of their availability overseas (from the States). In either case, you can check out their site:

I have read about it, not so much for bramble rash but more in relation to stone chips

Gets really good feedback, but those who use it normally do a group buy from the USA for about £50each Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Haven't yet taken the time to get any of the products. Maybe just get the dealer to polish it out.
anyone know how many times you can polish a car? i've heard that you can't do it too many times. May need to have it done next year too tough I will be more carefull to search for more open dirt roads next time.

pinkies has some 'used one time only' magnetic scratch protecting panels for sale.

However the roads of Keilder forest must be 'metalled' as the panels found the ground much more attractive than the car . Whistle At work

Just been outside and took a couple of paint thickness readings

Unlacquer 59um
Lacquered 118-131um

Taking in to account a machine polish can remove 2-10um of lacquer and the difference won't all be just lacquer as there may be mire primer/paint on the panel than the unlacquered panel, you do have a bit of lacquer to play with

But then again it depends on how deep the scratch is and you don't want to leave too thin a layer of lacquer as this can lead to failing over time due to it's thinness Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Call me un-educated but how do you measure the thickness of something like paint without cutting into it???? Question There's always a way forward!

2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!
