Radio Display

Jumped in the Freelander this morning, turned on the radio and the music started playing but no display. Tried starting the car a couple of times to see if it would re-set, still no joy. Any one had this problem before. Its just about 3 months out of warranty, would it be worth trying to get a new radio.

Might just be a gremlin having a mess around with your wiring toeknee (Every couple of months I get the fuel guage showing empty when it's not), how about pulling the fuse for the radio or disconnecting the battery for a minute or so for a full reboot. I've never done it so wait for more feedback before you do it, but many others have and it's generally sorted the issue. Thumbs Up

I had my radio display and satnav screen go off for about 10 mins in my 1st car

Dealer said software

I don't think buying another radio would work as I believe they are coded to the vehicle and can not be changed, unless you buy brand new from LR

Speak to LR CS and see what they say so close to been out of warranty Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It looks like the Bluetooth isn't working as well, although its says it’s connected. Just spoke to TVLR and they have told me to disconnect the earth lead from the battery and reconnect after a minute or so. I’ll give it a go tonight and see what happens,
Thanks for the advice

Its fixed, disconnected the battery and re- booted as advice from mcphersonstrut and TVLR, Radio display and Bluetooth working fine. Just one of those quirks of owning a Land Rover Rolling Eyes
