The Bluetooth PTI in Freelander 2 / LR2 works with the iPhone is what he says Wink

As for American English - a truck is a 4x4... at least the Jeep word was not used - Whistle Thumbs Up

Oh and Mark, lucky you for being able to buy an iPhone - we wait until December Big Cry

Iphone works great with lr2

yes the lphone works great with my lr2 sorry to call it a truck but that's what it says on my insurance card 2008 landrover lr2 truck. You need to have the factory blue tooth and should work perfectly when you get your hands on a iphone. I am using the iphone to posts this message. I just love this phone it is the best phone I have ever had.

I'm really happy to know that FL2 works perfectly with the iPhone.
It works only with the telephone module or even the audio-video are amplified via bluetooth-car-system speakers?

PS
Please Bow down don't let anyone call truck or Jeep Shocked our wonderful car Wink

Speaking to a guy at Land Rover a while ago i asked whether they were producing any more phone cradles for the D3 and RRSport....He said "No, with technology being as fast as it is by the time we produce one the phone would be out of date....."

BUT he did hint that now we have the ipod connectivity unit for FL2, D3 and RRSport the possibilty is that they may well intend to incorporate the iphone via this connector....yipeeeee If i sell it for that i'll be out of business in a week..

iPhone in Europe

Apple starts iPhone sales in Germany (maybe in the UK as well) on November, 9 2007.
If anybody's going to get it and pair it with FL2, please let us know!

You can buy iPhones sim free for US$150 in Yantian China..................................... they aren't the real thing but they do everything that the real one does and you don't need to spend £1400 with O2 to have one and only you would know it is a fake!!! Oh and they have been on sale there since May this year with no waiting list. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

Common Simmo, do share all of the details.....does every feature work? What doesn't work?

I'm about to get a new phone, and whilst it looks like my Motorola SLVR L7 will pair perfectly with the LR2, I want something for mail and web browsing, so would love to know if the iphone is what I need.

Thumbs Up

Ha Ha !!

As I said it's a phone we're testing at the moment before its release, (November 9th I think).
Anyway I managed to test Incoming outgoing calls and saw the last ten dialled No's list, but that was all
I had time for. I'll try to get the phone again and do some more testing. Initially though it looks
promising. It's going to be quite expensive to start with though, Minimum £35/month 18 month contract.
To Buy £269.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

working on a job just now in the UK where EVERYBODY has an iphone on vodafone & orange,
i have absolutely no connection with, nor do i endorse in any way ( other than to pass on their details)
but they've proven to be reliable so far with my colleagues
a google search for " iphoneliberty" brings up their web page,

& as for me ? I've been looking to kick my motorola handset into touch since they took over £20m
in grants from central government & then closed their factory in Bathgate !
& O2 doesn't work where I live ( certainly not on the contracts their offering for iphone too)

It works

The iPhone works well with the car. I used to have a treo 700p that would disconnect from time to time and it would only synchronize the contacts in my favorites.

The iPhone syncronized all my contacts and paired with no problems the very first time.

No problems so far..
