Denmark 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
damage to alloy wheel

hi all,

collected my FL2 from the Dealer yesterday after it's service - and noticed a grape sized patch of damage on the alloy Big Cry

It's not deep - but the surface has been scrapped away, exposing the darker metal beneath.

The technician comes over and says they can paint it. Then the manager comes over and says the same.

I thought that covering the damage with paint would only lead to (surface) problems in the future - and that a new wheel is necessary.

Anyone know about this ?

thanks jimmy

I'd stick out for a new wheel if they were the one that damaged it Wink telfire
