Camshaft - timingbelt?

Can anyone tell whether the Freelander 2 with Diesel engine has got a timingbelt or a chain to drive the overhead camshaft(s)?
Replacement required after how many kilometers/ miles?

This replacement is quite expensive. My current car (VW Passat) requires replacement of the timingbelt every 90.000 kilometers. At a cost of Euro 450,00 at 180.000 kilometers (including a compulsory replacement of the waterpump at every second replacement of the timingbelt).
The total cost for this 180.000 kilometers maintenance will be around Euro 750,00. Whistle

If Freelander 2 has got a camshaft drive chain that would be an advantage... Although I guess this engine will have a timingbelt (with compulsory and frequent replacements Crying or Very sad )

Rob VW Tiguan or Freelander 2 that's the question...

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

From the car data;-

Responsive, refined and torquey Ford/PSA belt cam 2.2-litre TD4 turbodiesel
o Maximum power 160 PS (118 kW); maximum torque 400 Nm
o 0-60 mph in 10.9 sec; 0-100 km/h in 11.7 sec – reduced by 2.3/2.7 sec compared with outgoing Freelander diesel
o Combined average fuel consumption 37.7 mpg (7.5 l/100 km)
o New, variable-nozzle turbocharger helps deliver excellent response, huge mid-range torque and flat power curve
o Latest common-rail injection system aids economy and refinement
Both engines available with new six-speed automatic transmission
o Six-speed manual also available with the TD4 diesel.

Seems to be the way the manufacturers go these days!
But can we find out if it is a "contact" engine. i.e. If the belt goes does it self destruct? Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!
