FYI... Gas Tank.

Gas light came on indicating I was low on gas, so i proceded to fill her up shortly after that and I manage to squeeze in 22.5 gals of gas.

I beleive there's 2 gals of gas remaining after the light comes on and it's not a good idea (according to the Manual) to over fill your tank.

Thought our Tanks were just 18.5 Gals

But it's nice to know for those long road trips. My 2008 LR2

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

My (UK) manual states that the Petrol (Gas) Freelander2 Tank holds 70 Litres or 15.4 UK Gallons. An internet conversion table tells me that this equals 18.5 US Gallons. This is correct as per your manual. I find it difficult to believe that there is a spare 4 gallons capacity that no-one noticed!!!! Laughing
Do you trust the gas station that you bought from - could their pumps be wrong?
My manual also states that "when the low fuel light illuminates you have enough fuel left to travel 50 miles".

According manual warning lights on if less than 80 km remain = about 14 litres of petrol in my case
But I found that fuel meter is 5-7 litres too optimistic, compare visible fuel meter state and actual amount filled in. I had never less than 15l and 100km to go in tank to check accuracy of computer calculations. Freelander 2 HSE i6 Tonga Green
