Freelander 2 2011 with split rear door?

According to Land Rover Owner International the FL 2 2011 will have split tail door?

Here's some very recent spy shots of the disguised Freelander 2

2011 Freelander? It seems that the rear tailgate is to become a split, two-part job. Why else cover it up? The grille is new or different, as are the headlights. Also, there are now side rubbing strips. Maybe they tie in with altered rear hatch design? There were four identically disguised Freelander 2s seen.

it has been suggested that the 2010 Freelander 2 is completely sold out and that dealers are now taking orders for 2011 model such as the one in these spy shots.

Agreed, you need arms 6 feet long (+/- 1.8m) to get anything out of the back of the boot. If they do go for this i'm sure you'll find a way of screwing an old belt to the glass hatch CG Wink
IMHO keep the hatch as it is but maybe get power to it (Like citroen/peugeot do) to open/close at the push of a button on the key fob Thumbs Up
