Towbar electrics

Hi - I have been reliably informed that one part of the software download associated with the towbar elelectrics is to remap the engine ecu on vehicles with the Auto box such that the rev limit is increased before it changes up to the next higher gear. Makes sense I suppose based on the fact that its got all that extra weight to get moving. As I understand it, the ECU is only modified when the caravan is plugged onto the car. Not sure how this is achieved other than a monitor on one of the 12S or 12N connections.

I have heard this before regarding it changing the ECU not totally convinced though, how will it know if you plug in the 12N if you have a a bike rack and a light board or a two ton trailer Question p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
