Strange thing my HSE currently has 255 55 R19 tyres on the front and 235 55 R19 on the back!

Mine has 235 55 R19 on them from the factory as original tyres. This is the "legal" size for the car as well. I think the 255 55 R19 was the correct size for disco's. As they are a bit bigger, your speedo won't read as correct as the original size, beside that I don't think that's a huge problem. For this car I don't recommend the Continental Contact UHP's I got on. They perform rubbish when wet. I read a lot about people being happy with Wranglers though. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 auto ...current |

Yes, it will eventially wind the transfer box up, your running with the rear wheels turning alot slower than the rears. It will cause damage.
I agree, they are a great tyre. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Hmm, I thought that as we are not using 100% difflocks, winding up the gearbox should not be a concern. 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 auto ...current |
