United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Fuji White
Bluetooth phone / Blackberry

Hi there,

Just had a new 2.2e XS delivered last week, and manged to pair my blackberry 8310 with the car's stereo without too much trouble. Problem is, all the contact details that came across are shown in the radio display as the number only - no names appear anywhere, so it's impossible to dial someone from the phonebook unless you know what their number is (and who remembers phone numbers nowadays!) . Anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks,

Adam.

Hi

You'll need to do an update on you BB, if you do a search on here, there'll be some pointers for it.

Thanks Rich. Kind of new to this forum thing. Should've done a search first.
Still doesn't help, though, as my work IT department are paranoid and have locked the Blackberry OS version so I can't upgrade.

Adam.

Ahh rubbish. I couldn't find another way to make it work.

I'm lucky, I'm part of the IT department, so set the rules.

If it's worth mentioning to them, this fix will be required for anyone with a BB, and if they own an FL2, Vovlo, Jag or new Ford.

Problem is, then new BBs come with the updated software these days, so they wouldn't need to upgrade if they replace them.

The Freelander phone intrigation system is the biggest load of rubbish on the market. One reason I bought the HSE was so I didn't have to pay out on a hands free kit. Rolling with laughter (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Did manage to get a fix in the end. Borrowed the wife's iphone. Put my SIM card in it and paired with the FL2. Copied phonebook from iphone. Now the car will dial from its phonebook even when paired with the blackberry.Deosn't help when I add new numbers to the blackberry though....

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Narvik Black

Apparently the 8310 is fully compatible but it depends on the OS version of the phone. I have got the latest which is 4.5.0.187 and this DOES NOT work fully with the FL2.

I'm just wondering what versions of OS people are runnning who have got the full phone book working? I know 4.5.0.55 works but this seams to be some versions back.... I guess we're looking for something in the middle! Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints
