Hi Guys

Just ordered and paid my deposit on a new Freelander 2 BLACK Special Edition... Heard from my local dealer that LR are building another 150 of the Black and Whites.

Never owned a 4x4 before but thought hey you only live once so I've ordered it.. I'm told that each dealer will be lucky to get just one or two of these, so although they sound a great deal at £19995 otr I realise I have bought it blind as they say, couldnt even get a brochure on this model?

Wonder if anyone out there has one? And any comments would be appreaciated.. Thanks telfire

Not a bad price, but you accept you can add a thing to it? Black and Whites and other SE arn't really subject to much discounting.

Basically, there are roughly 140 UK dealers. I think there were 500 black and whites. 350 whites and 150 blacks. so in the first batch, well, you can work it out. If there is another batch, same goes for that.

Essentially, the FL2 no matter what model you get is the same mechanics, dynamics etc. All the extras are for is wheels, fog lights, TC and a host of interior enhancements most of us can do without.

The B&W's are bringing a FL2 to people who might not be able to consider it. Enjoy!

Yes this next batch is the final 150 cars I was told there was originaly 350 whites and 150 blacks. I guess your right its only the spec ..! Seems strange / mean that LR don't supply a spare wheel an tyre? Its an extra you have to buy as is floor mats1

Yep, no spare and no mats, it's all extras. I screwed my dealer to the floor on car price and he wouldn't budge on mats, mud flaps etc. so he ended up supplying a new vehicle devoid of these things and a bit of a attitude. So I just drove to another dealer 50 miles away and purchased them from him, same day. Two fingers up to him!

Yeah they don't seem to wanna give anything away! I'll pick up a spare on ebay I guess, not gonna pay main dealer prices - same goes for mats. Thanks for the reply. telfire
