Whilst browsing the AUTOTRADER website I have come across a lot of Under-priced cars (Not just FL2s) that are obviously dodgy deals. Back in my day they used to send a photographer round to take a photo of the car and you needed a land line number thus weeding out the charlatans. Now it seems it's a haven for conman

If you google the second phone number it says the seller is 33 miles from me so that will rule out Leicester. the First number will take you to an add in the Leicester Mercury but at a guess I would say the second number would be around Northampton. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Ah yes on the second number we find an advert for a green 08 HSE for just under 11k with 32000km, an even better bargin, no pic unfortunately

So, what are they trying to gain by advertising it? Does the car exist but is stolen/ringed/bodged write-off, or is it not theirs to sell, or does it not exist and they're hoping you'll send them a deposit that you'll ever see again?

I wouldn't prod it with a stick - so obviously dodgy. And you can forget police help in the event of the deal going wrong - they're too busy waiting for you to do 32 in a 30 zone.

These people prey on the greedy and the stupid, The type of people that will see the car and ignore the tell tale signs.
It's now very easy to make false number plates and a V5 and even a fake HPI certifificate,

Unless the buyer takes out thier own Hpi check-which the very plausable seller talks them out of-because he has one only a few days old-and will even help you check the VIN no (again off the forged V5) then blinded by the GREAT deal they are getting they hand over the cash.

Lots of forged V5's doing the rounds as well, so be careful.

If it has been stolen & given a new identity, and the police found out, the car will just be taken away & you will be £x out of pocket !
