Freelander 2 Towbar Electrics

Has anybody wired the Freelander 2 for towing with 12S & N plugs. I am being quoted £180 by Guy Salmon for a ECU and harness and programming of the ECU to the vehicle. Is there a way around this? Ihave always fitted my own towbars and wiring use scotch locks, I don't want to pay a garage!!
