Wheelnut Key Socket

Quick question, I've got an S with the compressor, (going to get a spare eventually), but I can't find the wheelnut key. Am I supposed to have one? Seems a bit stupid if I'm not, as how will a tyre place be able to remove the wheel Rolling Eyes We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Would either be in your glovebox or in the wheel well in the boot, those seem to be the most common places its stored. ______________________

Hmmm, not seen as yet in either of those places, or indeed anywhere else. Maybe a chat with the stealer I bought it from will help.

Cheers mate. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Cheers for that npinks, it's interesting that I had read a thread earlier to day about the "hiding place". Checked when I got to my vehicle before driving home and it's definitely held in by a captive bolt/screw combination Shocked (Inside the spare wheel well).

Hey, maybe it's a poor old "S" thing, but I don't care, I love mine Very Happy We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Sorry mate, both the same Crying or Very sad

I'm taking it that you are all refering to the "depressions" forward of the rear light clusters that stay in place when you lift up the "boot" floor ? We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Sorry but we do care about potholes, my Dad just spent £300 on new springs on his merc, our roads are atrocious esp after the winter frosts.
Its a standing joke really as papa is the local councillor and fields plenty of phone calls about the state of the roads Laughing
keep a watch on ebay and you will soon find a spare wheel at a bargain price

Took the boot-space apart this morning. Still no sign.

Would any other "S" owners let me know if they got one issued, or is it another aftermarket part. Evil or Very Mad

@CG, what would you expect, it's not a Land Rover Laughing Seriously though, the roads around here are atrocious too, much worse than last year. I sympathise with anyone in a normal car. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Mine came without its adapter. it worked out cheaper to get a new set of locking nuts rather than just an adapter plus they were in stock and the single adapter had to be ordered in

If they are selling you a car with a locking wheel nut in place they have to provide the adapter, how would you take the wheel off when you want to swap tyres

I presume they think you will take to dealer, pay for wheel to take off, take tyre to be replaced to then pay LR to put it back on too Laughing

It's a mistake, it's got to be...... Next they'll be selling £30k cars with no spare wheel Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
