SLROC Green road run 21st Feb

For all the Scottish members in the Central Belt - SLROC welcomes guests and new members (and the £5 note they all bring!) along to these non damaging (but you might catch a scratch if you are really unlucky!) Sundays out in the hills. No special equipment or tyres required and all driving surfaces are either tarred or "forest track" type trails.

The destination for this run is a new one to the club - we are going to Glenfalloch which is at the head of Loch Lomond. Meeting place is the carpark opposite the Tarbert Hotel, Tarbert on Loch Lomondside. There is a cafe where hot breakfast is available for those who have to leave home early, just up the A82 from the carpark where we meet. Start is 1030 at the car park, 1100 depart carpark. To quote the SLROC Hotline "Be prepared for howiling gales, driving rain or as the weather has recently been cold, feet of snow!". Don't forget your camera, fuel, warm clothes and a picnic. These are family events so there is no racing or anything remotely silly like going "cross country" or off the beaten track How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

Sounds great fun a little far for me though. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.

You have enough lovely lanes down there to keep you occupied for years Boxer, if you are ever up this way have a look at the SLROC (Scottish Land Rover Owners Club) website or froums and you will get the details. With lots of snow forecast in places this one might be a bit more exciting than some! Might have to put the MTR's onto the RRS rather than take the Defender so I know I have a car that can handle deep snow like there is none! Defender on MTRs in snow on ice isn't nice...................... it's a breeze if you have HDC and TR! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
