United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Decision made!

As some of you know, I was looking to change our Freelander 2 HSE in the summer, and looked at other cars as well as a new/nearly FL2.

Well, we have decided to keep hold of our current car until probably the back end of 2011. It has been fantastic and although I would like an Auto, I only drive ours probably once a week and it's not worth spending £10,000 to £15,000 on another car that will in effect look the same. Besides the Mrs likes it as a manual.

I am also keeping my Vauxhall Signum and probably going to go for the 100,000 miles in it.

So.................................After a good talk with the Mrs, towards the end of the year/beginning of 2011 I hopefully will be buying one of these as a summer toy!

A Vauxhall Monaro CV8 - 353bhp 5.7 V8! For the extra money it would cost me to upgrade the Freelander 2 for a newer freelander 2, I will be able to buy the Monaro! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Yep, Vauxhall imported Holden Monaro's badged Vauxhall as Holden and Vauxhall are all part GM. Absolute beast of a car fo not alot of money, the CV8 was only £28k in the UK when new.

Not bothered about MPG as it will only do about 3/4000 miles a year and if I get one registered before April 2006, the annual road tax is only £215 a year! So the saving has started and it will also fit in the garage with ease! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. I was thinking about it as a tow car, but they are not type approved for towing in the UK. As the Monaro was not sold in mainland Europe I have to forget that idea!

By the way, we are going back to the same campsite in france this year Andy, whats your plans? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Quite right Mav. Thats my problem. Replace a coming on 2 year old FL2 with new or hanging onto it. I was working out what with tax and servicing etc, but balancing it out against the fact that the vehicle hasn't moved out of the garage since a week before Christmas, we have been using the Disco. I know in the summer, it will get used a bit more, but even so, neither the wife or I work, so whats the point? We have only done 4k miles in it in the last year!

We don't arrive until the 14th August! So we may pass each other on the motorway! Who did you ask about the larger pitches? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
