for £60 on fleabay. Bargain, and from a reputable sellar!

will keep you posted on installation, most probably under front seat.

Will post pictures later.

Wink might consider installing these for a part time income Wink Wink

Have you bought the DVD changer you listed here? If so is there a link please & does it come with leads or do you need to purchace these seperately?

I couldn't find any seperate DVD players when I searched.

And yes I have no problem paying you to fit or perhaps do a trade for a decent valet on the Tambora Flame!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Has anyone who has fitted the kit seen the picture quality change when using the link leads to play on both head rests? Mine is great when playing on one but the link lead seems to deteriorate the quality when used.

I have decided to load up my Ipod as the player as small and compact and can hold loads of films for the kids Thumbs Up

I guess you are powering it via a USB adapter as it is 5.6v ?

Let us know how you get on and what the quality is like to both screens?

Cheers

Are there any particular specification points you need to look out for when buying a DVD player? Am I right in saying RCA out or Composite out? (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Composite / RCA / Phono is best

Component out is no use

I thought composite out is the one you need? Video, L and R audio on phono male connectors, the AV unit for the screens are female phono connectors Phil

Phil you are right COMPOSITE / Phono out is spot on.

I fitted my 160GB Ipod in today with USB power feed and the picture was spot on, millions of films too on one small little unit that sits nicely in the centre consul, looks like it was made for it too. Thumbs Up

Still noticed picture degraded using the LR link leads supplied but fitted a powered video splitter as a test and the picture was excellent on both screens, I wonder why LR did not build this in Question

forgot to mention.

Have my rear screens working GREAT with my Iphone.
Would never know I have kids now - which is perfect on long journeys Thumbs Up

Also, as an FYI to anyone else fitting the rear TV's.
I found it is a doddle, with only 2 pain points
1. Removing / refitting the clip at the bottom of the seat to access the cable - it scratches easily, but you cannot see this when reassembled.
2. Refitting the Handbreak shroud / cover. A real pain in the Censored

Also, As previously mentioned I DID NOT fit the AV connectors where LR say, as this looks terrible and cheap, with AV cables hanging all over the center console for the kids to 'play with'
I fitted this under the passenger seat, and am in the process of fly leading this to the glove box for a more secure housing for
my iphone.

Also, have yet to fit an AV switcher for the DVD changer / Iphone ... more work.

2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Zermatt Silver

Fitting this 1200 quid option with landrover versus 185 quid with Ebay and doing it yourself was a doddle. Fortunately the guide with text was a great help!

The next part of my plan is to install the DVD player under the seat, but my multi meter died and I failed to get the power connected to the unit so I could power it up Embarassed
