Rear side windows heated or not?

Just wondered if the small side windows at the rear are heated like the rear window?
I ask because they have the small heating strips in but the ice snow does not melt like it does on the rear screen.
Is this a fault or an optional extra?

They're not heating strips. One side is the aerial, not sure about the other.

If you look - one side is connected - the other isn't (at least on my 08 model).

The other annoying thing is effectively you get a directional aerial so if you have weak radio station signal it can be lost just by a slight turn in the road - most annoying! Big Cry There's always a way forward!
