Hi all I am the proud new owner of a Freelander 2 HSE and have one niggle with it. The car was bought pre owned from a local dealer who is fine to cover any problems but I was wondering if I could fix the problem without taking it back.
The issue I have is the seat belt adjusting knob that lowers and raises the seat belt shoulder height is loose and floating about within the plastic trim cover and I was wondering if this was easy to remove as I was worried about the air bag warning label near the top of the trim above the seat belt. I am sure this is just the plastic has popped out and not worth a trip so hopefully someone will know.

Also what other things do I need to watch out for on the i6 HSE model?

Thanks in advance, and no knocks about the fuel as I think its great after owning a Rangie Just like big petrol feel and power sorry all the oil burners out there

Welcome - There is a service bullitin to rectify the rubbing of the seat belt against this area you are talking about. As you reach over your sholder and pull the belt out to fasten, the belt makes contact with the side of the trim and over time actually wears the trim away - if this is the same in your case, LR would fix this FOC and repair the loose up/down adjustment at the same time.

Seen the Dealer today and they are as you correctly say going to replace the lot as I have large wear marks in the assy. Thanks
