Warranty seat replacement / repair?

The side section of the drivers seat in my TD4 XS has been looking a bit ropey for a while and has finally developed a split.

Has anybody has the same problem? My LR has done 38k miles on an 07 plate. I fully expect a bit of wear and tear, but this seems a bit excessive.

Before I take it to the dealer, I wanted to see if anyone had any luck getting theirs repaired / replaced under warranty.

I'm expecting them to say 'it's wear and tear - down to you'

My first FL2 with less miles had the problem and dealer looked and ordered a new cover straight away

if it looks like you have catched it etc then you might have trouble

a RRSport member got told wear and tear on a 1 year old RRS Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Like your seat, the side of my driver's seat developed a split. (Someone on this forum told me that it was because that particular part of the seat is not real leather). At 30,000 miles Frosts Brighton arranged for it to be replaced under warrantee. They just asked me to take some photos so that they could send them to LR because apparently they have to sign off on seat replacements/repairs under warrantee.
