United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

Steps arrived today and can confirm they are definitely genuine Thumbs Up - though looking at the packaging it's not landrover.

Looks like i'm going to be busy come Saturday.

If anyone is interested, keep a look out as i'll be posting my black side tubes up for sale once i have taken then off and can confirm condition (although I expect them to be pretty much perfect) - may also come with a complete fitting kit, including rivnuts, as the steps 'may' use some of the same mounting locations as the side tubes. 2008 SE, HSE wheels, Black Premium Leather, Privacy Glass, Sports Kit, Side Steps, various LED upgrades and Clear side indicators.

Good luck with the fitting...Fitted mine at the weekend. It went quite well, I had to trim the rubber on the steps in a couple of places and the box section support arms didn't quite go to the end of the socket brackets, after some persuasion with a hide mallet they are on and looking good.

A small padsaw is useful for cutting the slots.

Packaging isn't landrover but is ideal for laying on whilst under the car.

Just bought a set of the same side steps on EBay same price with free delivery, thanks for the item number, do you have to remove the plastic sill guard to fit them, if so how did you remove the plastic plugs that hold it in place without damaging them.

Instructions are pants but I think I have sussed it.

delbert...

The plastic plugs have a small crossheaded retaining screw.....remove the screw and the plug will pull out. The plastic sill guard can then be pulled off and slots cut as per instructions, the circular clips on the sill guard can move during removal, so make sure they are centred when you refit.

Good Luck
